n. தரை, அறையின் நிலத்தளம், அடித்தளம், கடலடி, குகையடி, மாமன்றத்தில் உறுப்பினர்கள் அமர்ந்து பேகுமிடம், வீட்டில் ஒரே தளத்திலிருக்கிற அறைகளின் தொகுதி, வீட்டின் அல்லது கட்டிடத்தின் தள அடுக்குகளில் ஒன்று, சமதளமான பரப்பு, குறைவிலை எல்லைத்தளம், (வினை)தளமிடு, கல்பாவு, அடித்தளமாகப் பயன்படு, நிலத்தளத்தில் வீழ்த்து, விழும்படி மோதித்தள்ளு, குழப்பு, திகைக்கவை, பாடம் தெரியாததால் பள்ளிமாணவனை அமர்ந்து விடும்படி சொல், வெற்றியடை, வெல், அடக்கியாள்.
Floor, n. Etym: [AS. fl; akin to D. vloer, G. flur field, floor, entrance hall, Icel. fl floor of a cow stall, cf. Ir. & Gael. lar floor, ground, earth, W. llawr, perh. akin to L. planus level. Cf. (Naut.) Defn: That part of the bottom of a vessel on each side of the keelson which is most nearly horizontal. 7. (Mining) (a) The rock underlying a stratified or nearly horizontal deposit.
