வெடிமருந்துn. வெடிமருந்து, வெடிக்கவைக்கும் பொருள், தடை வெடிப்பொலி எழுத்து, ஒலிக்கும்போது மூச்சுவருவது முற்றும் தடைபடச்செய்யும் மெய்யெழுத்து, (பெ.) உரத்த ஒலியுடன் வௌதத்தள்ளும் பாங்குடைய, வெடிக்கும் இயல்புடைய, வெடிக்கவைக்கிற, (மெய்யெழுத்து) மூச்சுத்தடைப்பட்டு ஒலிக்கப்படுகிற.
