En`to*mol"o*gy, n.; pl. Entomologies. Etym: [Gr. 'e`ntomon insect (so called because nearly cut in two, fr. 'e`ntomos cut in; 'en in + te`mnein to cut) + -logy: cf. F. entomologie.
