n. தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பெற்றவர், தனிப்படத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்து அமர்த்தப் பெற்றவர், (பெ.) தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்ட, மிகவுயர்ந்த, விடுபேற்றுக்கெனக் கடவுளால் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்ட, பதவி முதலிய வற்றிற்குத் தெரிந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டும் பதிவ யேற்காத, (வினை) தெரிந்தெடு, வாக்கு மூலமாய்த் தேர்ந்தெடு, (கடவுள்) வீடுபேற்றுக்கெனப் பொதுநீக்கிச் சிலரைத் தேர்நள்தெடு.
