dyad

n. இரண்டன் தொகுத்தி, இணை, இரட்டை, சோடி, (வேதி), நீரக ஈரணுவுடன் இயையும் தனிம அணு, நீரக ஈருணுவுடன் இயையும் மூலப்பொருள் அணு.

Defn: An element, atom, or radical having a valence or combining power of two. Dy"ad, a. (Chem.) Defn: Having a valence or combining power of two; capable of being substituted for, combined with, or replaced by, two atoms of hydrogen; as, oxygen and calcium are dyad elements. See Valence.
