croon

n. எருத்தின் தாழ்குரல் முழக்கம், (வி.) எருது போல் உறுமு, தாழ்குரலில் முனங்கு, அடிக்குரலில் பாடு, முணுமுணு, முணுமுணுத்துப் புலம்பு, உணர்ச்சி மேலிடத் தாழ்குரலில் பாடு.


Croon (krn), v. i. Etym: [OE. croinen, cf. D. kreunen to moan. 1. To make a continuous hollow moan, as cattle do when in pain. [Scot.] Jamieson. 2. To hum or sing in a low tone; to murmur softly. Here an old grandmother was crooning over a sick child, and rocking it to and fro. Dickens. Croon, v. t. [imp. & p. p. Crooned (krnd); p. pr. & vb. n. Crooning.] 1.
