cognate

n. குருதி உறவுடையவர், ஒரே இனத்தவர், உறவினர், ஸ்காத்லாந்து சட்டத்தில் தாய்வழி உறவினர், (பெ.) ஒரே இனமான, ஒரே மரபு மூலத்தைச் சேர்ந்த.

Allied by blood; kindred by birth; specifically (Law), related on the mother's side. 2. Of the same or a similar nature; of the same family; proceeding from the same stock or root; allied; kindred; as, a cognate language. Cog"nate, n. 1.
