Cloy, v. t. [imp. & p. p. Cloyed (kloid); p. pr. & vb. n. Cloying.] Etym: [OE. cloer to nail up, F. clouer, fr. OF. clo nail, F. clou, fr. L. clavus nail. Cf. 3d Clove.] 1.
