Chro"ma*to*scope`, n. Etym: [Gr. -scope.] (Astron.) Defn: A reflecting telescope, part of which is made to rotate eccentrically, so as to produce a ringlike image of a star, instead of a point; -- used in studying the scintillation of the stars.
