-1 n. (த.) காசு, நாணயம், சீன நாட்டுச் செப்புநாணயம்.-2 n. கெட்டிப்பணம், உடனடிப்பணம், ரொக்கம், பொருளகத்துறையில் நாணயப்பணம், நாணயப்பணமும் பொருளக நாணயத் தாளும் மட்டுமே அடங்கிய தொகை, (வி.) பொருளக நாணயத்தாள்-பொருளகமுறி ஆகியவற்றுக்குரிய பணம் வழங்கு, நாணயப்பணமாக மாற்று.
