Can`cel*ier", v. i. Etym: [F. chanceler, OF. canseler, to waver, orig. to cross the legs so as not to fall; from the same word as E. cancel.] (Falconry) Defn: To turn in flight; -- said of a hawk. (Falconry) Defn: The turn of a hawk upon the wing to recover herself, when she misses her aim in the stoop.
