anacamptic

An`a*camp"tic, a. Etym: [Gr. Defn: Reflecting of reflected; as, an anacamptic sound (and echo). Note: The word was formerly applied to that part of optics which treats of reflection; the same as what is now called catoptric. See Catoptrics.
